Kids Onstage Acting Classes

Grand Theatre, Cartersville, Georgia
The Grand Theatre is now offering beginning acting classes for children ages 8-12 years. Led by Grand Theatre Program Coordinator, Terri Cox, these classes will help young actors learn basic theatre skills by participating in games and activities geared to their interests and age level. Classes will be held each Monday from 4-5 p.m.
Session 1: Twist and Shout! Getting your body and voice ready for the stage
Session 2: How to Be A Loudmouth - Basics of voice projection
Session 3: Cheating and Stealing - Your place on the stage
Session 4: Just Who Do You Think You Are? Developing a character
Session 5: On the Fly - Improvisation
Session 6: Putting It All Together - Scene studies
Cost is $60, non-refundable payment due at registration. To register for class you may come by the Grand Theatre office at 7 North Wall Street in downtown Cartersville from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday or register by phone with a credit card.
