Battle of Allatoona Pass

Allatoona Pass Battlefield, Cartersville
Join Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, Red Top Mountain State Park and the Etowah Valley Historical Society in commemorating this hallowed ground. Enjoy Battlefield Tours, tours of the historic Clayton Mooney House which was used as a hospital during the Civil War, and infantry and cannon demonstrations. Saturday 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tour the hillside and the railroad cut through the pass. Walk the trails, visit the star fort earthworks, and follow the old Tennessee Road just as the soldiers did in 1864. Explore daily life in the tent city. Space is limited for the house tours which will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m.-Noon and 1-3 p.m. and on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. Get your house tour tickets early upon arrival at the event. Shuttle service and parking is available at the Allatoona Landing Marina, just past the event.

Directions
The Allatoona Pass is located south of Red Top Mountain State Park at I-75 Exit 283. Go east, cross railroad and continue 1.5 miles to battle site. Shuttle & parking available at Allatoona Landing Marina, just beyond the event site.
