Enjoy great food, music and fun for the whole family at the 5th Annual Georgia Barbecue Classic. The nation's most celebrated professional cook teams and dozens of backyard grillers compete for cash prizes and bragging rights in this Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned State Championship of barbecue. Live entertainment, kid's activities and craft vendors in addition to plenty of traditional Southern food have made this one of Northwest Georgia's most popular events. All proceeds to support the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter. Gates open Friday 4-10 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Directions
I-75 Exit 288, GA 113 south (heading due West) through downtown Cartersville approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Douthit Ferry Rd, (see McDonald's on left) go through traffic light and continue through 4-way stop passing Cartersville Middle School on right. Park is just ahead on the right, near Etowah Indian Mounds.
