5th Annual Southeastern Cowboy Gathering

Enjoy cowboy poetry, western concerts, artist workshops and more during the gathering. Featured artists are Paul Calle and Chris Calle. The featured entertainer will be Red Steagall. Other entertainers include Andy Hedges and Kent Rollins, along with Georgia poets, singers and musicians. Children's Saturday activities include a children's poetry writing workshop, story time in the Museum Store and hands on activities where children can make their own Western art masterpieces at stations throughout the Museum. Nominal fee for some activities. A Western concert on Saturday evening will present the finest cowboy poets in the U.S. along with top names in Western music including featured entertainer Red Steagall. Tickets are $25 adults, $20 BWAM members, and $10 for students. A CD signing will follow the performance in the Encore Room adjacent to the Grand Theatre. Additional Saturday activities include the Southeastern Chuck Wagon Cook-off; Cowboy Poetry and Song Writing Workship; Open Fiddle, Mandolin and Banjo Contests; and the Georgia Cowboy Poets Reunion. The event concludes on Sunday with Cowboy Church followed by the Dutch Oven Cooking Contest, Children's Activities and Open Mike Poetry Session. Museum admission charged.
