Mountain Laurel Hike at Pine Mountain Trail

Pine Mountain Recreation Area, Cartersville, Georgia
Guided hike departs the East Loop Trailhead at 10 a.m. See mountain laurel at its peak bloom on this 2.34 mile hike on compacted soil. The moderate to difficult hike takes approximately 2-3 hours. Hike is guided by City of Cartersville Parks & Recreation Department. Participants should arrive as early as trailhead parking is limited. Overflow parking is at the Allatoona Lake Resource Managers Office Parking area. In case of inclement weather (lightning or high winds) the hike will be canceled. Call to verify departure time.

Directions
EAST LOOP TRAILHEAD: I-75 Exit 290, GA 20 east, then right at traffic light onto Spur 20. Go approximately 4 miles to parking area on right. WEST LOOP TRAILHEAD: I-75 Exit 288, go east, then right at Pine Mountain Trail and Komatsu signs. The trailhead parking area is on the left just before the gated entrance to Komatsu.
