Barnsley Gardens Resort

Barnsley Gardens Resort, located in Adairsville, Georgia (65 miles north of Atlanta and 65 miles south of Chattanooga from Interstate 75 Exit 306), is one of the most captivating resorts in the South. The lovely estate has attracted guests since its creation in 1841, many of whom did not want to leave because they were fascinated by the beauty of Barnsley Gardens. In fact, General James B. McPherson was so impressed in 1864 that he ordered his Union troops not to damage the property.

For the day, weekend, or a vacation retreat, Barnsley Gardens is the ideal choice. Day visitors enjoy the Historic Gardens and Manor House Ruins, where more than 125 heirloom variety flowers and plants may be seen in all their glory. Heirloom Garden Tours: $10 adults, $8 seniors, $5 children under age 12.

The resort also lures guests with championship golf, relaxation at the spa, fly-fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking trails and more. Visitors will surely relish the regionally inspired meals available at the estate restaurants. At the end of the day you may choose to retire in a richly appointed cottage.

Corporate retreats are accommodated in 5,000 sq. ft. of meeting space with full conference center staff. Wedding sites are plentiful here - whether in the statuesque ruins, romantic gardens, or charming Town Hall, Barnsley weddings make dreams come true.

The Shooting Grounds at Barnsley Gardens Resort
Guests may also enjoy casual sporting clay rounds. Plan a personalized day for yourself, a group of friends or a corporate outing.

The excitement of quail hunting is enhanced by the guides, upland bird dogs and plantation Jeeps. Continental Pheasant Releases and Turkey Hunting are also available.
